The quality of the home cooking was also excellent. -We went out walking along the canal towpath and, on our return, Madame had a tray of fresh iced water with lemon slices waiting for us in Reception. Excellent anticipation of guest needs. -Well worth one or two night stop & slight detour if travelling from the channel ports further South. So much more pleasant than the usual "branded" hotels.”

Nevertheless the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable and food was very good and reasonably priced. I would most certainly use the hotel again.”
