“Staff were fantastic, organised taxi's, train tickets on the fast trains, a driver to The Great Wall and even assisted with teaching our son some Mandarin & provided him with a calligraphy gift which has been his favourite. Thanks for a great stay”
“The hotel staff at the front desk are very helpful. They helped me looking up a business address that I need to be and called a taxi for me. I like this boutique hotel as it has a traditional Chinese charm and the location is great if you plan to take subway around Beijing. It is located in a small street that is not far from the main road. There are shopping places and restaurants nearby.”
“Beautiful traditional courtyard design, modernised with great good taste. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant, widely used by non-residents. Central location, walking distance from Forbidden City.”
“Staff is very friendly and attentive. There is an inside yard where children can securely wait for their parents. Some evenings actors and singers give performance in the restaurant. Location is great - in a real hutong, 10 minutes walking from Wangfujing and 20 minutes from Gugong.”

“Wonderful location, very near subway which can get you all over the city. Also near main shopping street with good restaurants. Felt very genuine, being in the hutongs and styled as such. Very personal and relaxed environment, lovely music, water gardens and very quiet. Staff spoke amazing english (a bonus for us but not expected!) which made any questions we had easy, they even booked a trip for us, showed us around our room and gave us a couple of sweet treats throughout our stay. An email was sent in advance to ensure we had all the information we need to get there. Restaurant on site was very good, if not a bit more expensive than elsewhere. The afternoon tea was also very good. Wi-Fi was strong and stable. Would definitely stay again.”
