Important Notice
- Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.<br><br>Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.<br><br>Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

“The hotel is located right on the corner of the touristy stretch of Puno with lots of shops and restaurants and Plaza de Armas only a few blocks away. Breakfast was very nice with a buffet including cheese, cereal, fresh juice and fruit, avocado etc., and there’s free tea in the lobby in the afternoon. The rooms are not the most modern, but very spacious and clean, and we were able to enjoy hot showers every day, which is not a given in Peru. But most of all, the staff were some of the nicest people we met during our three-week journey through the country. They picked us up personally from the bus terminal, arranged a nice Lake Titicaca tour for us and took great care of us when we were struggling with the altitude (they keep an oxygen tank in the lobby for emergencies). Gracias amigos! :)”
“It was cold the night we stayed in Puno. We heard a knock on our door and a staff member brought us a portable heater( without us asking)!!”

“Had a great experience at Camino Real. We arrived late after many hours delay on the bus from Cusco, tired and I wasn't feeling well. The staff was amazing, took care of us immediately, helped carry our bags up, left all the annoying filling in papers and taking copies of passports to the next day and made us tea! Such a relief after a terrible journey down!”
