“I would highly recommend El Mesón de Despeñaperros. We reserved two twin rooms which were very clean and spacious. Each room had a complimentary toiletry pack with soap, toothpaste, toothbrush etc. One of our rooms had a huge balcony with patio furniture and fantastic views of the mountains and sunset. The staff were very friendly especially in the hotel restaurant. There was a great selection of locally produced food which was delicious. The breakfast (included in the room rate) was a selection of fresh croissants, toast, jam, coffee and orange juice. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night so we didn’t have much time to explore the area which looked great for hiking. The hotel is located not far from the motorway so it was very good for an overnight stop. Altogether this hotel offers fantastic value for money and is much better than any others we have stayed in within this price range and I would definitely visit here again.”
