“The bed was extra soft and comfy and the view from the room lovely. The breakfast was very good as well with a large choice of food. The location is amazing. I had the chance to witness the first November snow and seeing the surrounding mountains covered with it was a treat for the eye.”
“We had room #1 with a nice view on the waterfall! Both dinner and breakfast were very good and the staff was really friendly. One highlight was the troll walk that is closeby to the hotel on a hill. We also liked the hot pots very much to relax a little bit outside in the warm water. The owner had a huge collection of old records and played great classics both in the morning and the evening which made for a really nice atmosphere!”

Fantastic hot tubs and changing rooms. Restaurant on site and the owner had a fantastic record collection. If you are traveling with kids there's stuff for them to do as well.”

“Cosy and comfortable room. Great view of the charming waterfall right outside. Easy to find and park. The beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls are only a 30 minute drive away. Nice breakfast.”
“I really loved the location. The owner is a writer and an author of a beautiful book about trolls in Iceland and he built a path behind the hotel with trolls figures and passages of the book. The view from my room was amazing. The breakfast was really good too. I will definitely stay in this hotel again!! We drove to the nearest town Borgarnes and we didn't see anything better than this hotel.”
“I loved the Breakfast, recently baked bread made at the kitchen!!!! Salmon, cheese, special ham you name it. the best breakfast of all the 10 day trip around Iceland. We stayed at the cabin #1 with the river view, you have to ask for this room unbeatable location.”
“The location at the waterfall is very nice. It was fun to get a signed copy of The Last Troll, written by the owner. We enjoyed the spring-fed hot tub and the short trails around the hotel.”
