“We loved our stay at this family run business. Ballater is a quaint little town and the hotel is well situated within walking distance into the centre. Glen Lui felt more like a country bed and breakfast as the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful. The downstairs rooms are all well appointed and cosy and you could come and go as you pleased. Whilst the restaurant was closed for the winter they still served breakfast daily and the eggs were the best. Try the omelette or the scrambled eggs. We stayed in an upstairs bedroom with a comfy 4 poster bed. There is ample parking and the wi-fi was reliable. We would highly recommend Glen Lui if you are travelling to Ballater (it is easy to drive to surrounding towns and historical sites from here). The homemade shortbreads in the room were also delicious!”
