“We loved the comfy and luxurious bed and bedding, cozy and warm, nice sheets; friendly and helpful staff; quiet location away from hustle and bustle of the town”
“I did a lot of research on places to stay as accommodation is overpriced in the town and some is not so good. I could have saved myself some time by booking my first choice - Gringo Bill's - as it was just what I needed and worth the price I paid. Location was central without being too noisy. I loved being able to hear the trains rolling into town (but appreciated not staying in a hotel right on the train line!) Staff were warm and friendly. Room was really comfortable and large with a great balcony, felt like real luxury after months of travelling in dorm rooms and smaller hotel rooms! Breakfast was good and served early for day trippers to Machu Picchu. Loved the layout of the hotel - it's really quirky and unique. Hot shower and free toiletries. Especially appreciated on my return from walking around Machu Picchu. Good TV channels.”
“very nice room and you can get free tea, water and coffee 24/7, very convenient location away from the train station noise”
“Loved the sound of the river running next to hotel. Super charming architecture. Great location and helpful staff. Wish we'd had window screens to avoid mosquitos. Would definitely stay here again. Romantic and highly affordable.”
“A nice room very clean. It was a shame the electricy was cut off in the whole area, but they coped well, and gave us candles and a lamp.”
“Location in the city centerBig and comfortable bedTasty and rich breakfast (from 4 am)Possibility to store your bags and have a shower after check out”
“Helpful and friendly staff. Nice early breakfast. Close to the main square. Thank you so much for changing our rooms the second night after my little brother was sick, did not expect that!!!! Great 2 nights stay :)”
“Ideal location, off the main square. breakfast was good, and available early, so you can set off to Matchu Picchu. could fill your water bottles free for your day trip rooms comfy, with an electric heater Someone will met you from the train, but is easy to find.(walk diagonally across the square from the train station, walk up a slight ramp, and is in front of you) Bus stop is easy to find too. (if you have forgotten anything, sunblock, repelant, poncho, water. there are plenty of stalls selling this while you are in the queue for the bus. you can even get an extra fix of coffee. is all well organised)”
“Given this is the first hotel ever to exist in Aguas Calientes, I was impressed with how well-maintained the property is. The location is right off a popular square and the room had incredible view a of both the mountain and town. The front desk was very helpful and stored our bags for us while we spent the day at Machu Picchu. The wi-fi in the lobby was good enough for basic email-checking.”
“great location, 10min walk to bus station. Comfortable bed and quiet. Good value! ”
