“The Hawthorn Suites at Lake Buena Vista will be my hotel choice for a holiday in the Orlando area. Firstly the hotel is in a great location on Palm Parkway, especially with the new road bridge over the I 4; there are also many restaurants within walking distance for people who like to have a glass of wine with their meal. The hotel is not grand but it has customer friendly feel that made my stay very enjoyable, all the staff were very accommodating and pleasant, the clientèle during my 12 day stay were very friendly and also enjoyed the hotel facilities. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were very thorough especially as there are small kitchens in the rooms, this was reflected in my tip. The breakfast was more than adequate with porcelain plates and metal cutlery, I never like polystyrene plates and plastic cutlery, there was plenty of room to sit and eat breakfast too, which seems to be a problem in some hotels supplying breakfasts. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anybody, I know there are grander places to stay in the Orlando area but they come at a cost, but I'm sure they won't have the laid back, informal holiday feel this hotel emits which suits my criteria for a vacation in Orlando. Room Tip: The first and second floor (1 flight of stairs) rooms mean you don't have to wait for the lift”
