“Hotel well located as a stopover on the way south. The countryside around is great for cycling. Lots of quiet roads and rolling hills. We stayed in the Annex ("Susan's Hotel") just 50 metres from the main building which was quiet and comfortable if a little plain. The village is small with little if any facilities so we were pleased the restaurant was so good, apart from having to wait for almost 30 minutes from being seated to having our order taken, with no apology for the delay. Excellent food when it came. Plenty of free outdoor parking in site.”
“restaurant was excellent, good breakfast, nice terrace to have drinks on near the restaurant.”
“The alpacas. The view. Friendly staff. Emphasis on local wines.”
“Good evening meal, very quiet, comfortable room, breakfast was good”
“Lovely owner and staff , who have created a comfortable and fuctional property ”
“Sitting on veranda, sipping chilled champagne. Overlooking paddock that has 4 Alpacas, which I adore. The owner Susan (who is English) asked if I wanted to help feed them, which was lovely. We ate in the restaurant and chose menu 35E which was 4 courses and absolutely superb. A great stopover for those who are discovering the Champagne region and like peace and quite to relax after a day in the car.”
“The owners of this delightful hotel were fantastic, even showing us there Alpacas. The food served outside on the terrace was beautifully prepared and not stiffing. Excellent choice of wines and champagne. I will certainly book this hotel again. Just 4 to 5 hours from Calais. Brilliant.”
“Warm welcome by Susan and staff. Wonderfully conceived and presented French dining menu. Superb! Wide spectrum of wine, champagne, and single malt available. Tasteful and comfortable within a very nicely appointed glass atrium dining room set against the beautiful French countryside.”
“The beds had sheets and blankets to adjust as necessary instead of one usually too hot duvet. There was also a kettle - most unusual in a Continental stay.”
“Good stopping off point en route to South of France - just a slight detour off the motorway. Lovely hotel - quiet, comfortable, nice terrace for eating / drinking. Friendly staff. The area is very pretty and we hope to go back for a few days to explore the Champagne area some other time. Wouldn't hesitate in booking here again.”
