“Good location for overnight stay after hiking thre Rheinsteig. Good breakfast and encouragement to take some for lunch!”
“Our host was very helpful in providing us with great information for things to do in Kaub as well as giving us great advice for our next hiking day on the Rheinsteig. He even provided a take-away bag at breakfast for a lunch sandwich on the trail, which was great!”
“The owner was amazingly helpful and friendly. He made sure that we knew how to get around the area. He especially made sure that we could find our way to Cologne/Bonn Airport the morning we left. There were a lot of road closures/delays, and he helped us pick the best route so that we could make our flight in time. Not only that, he opened breakfast a half-hour early so that we wouldn't miss it.”
“Modest, clean hotel with good service, parking place just at the hotel backyard, fair breakfast. We arrived on Tuesday late afternoon and the hotel restaurant was the only place to get the diner (pretty wide choice and very delicious) in the town. All the restaurants in the town were closed without evident reason except one bier buffet by the through road. Unbelievable.”

“The room was on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. Edgar was fantastic. As we were driving to the Hotel, we came across a closed road. I was clueless what to do, so I called the Hotel. Edgar answered, and in quite excellent English, gave me detailed directions to detour around the closed road. He was also helpful in planning our day trips, and even had tickets to the Rhine Tour boats. His brother was the chef, and we enjoyed two excellent dinners at the Deutsches Haus.”
“Kaub is a spread out town and the Hotel Deutsches Haus is located centrally. The room and bathroom were modern, clean, warm & comfortable with good Wi-Fi for two devices. Breakfast was included in our package and was substantial. Our host (who spoke good English) also provided doggy-bags and allowed guests to make sandwiches using the breakfast meats/cheeses for an afternoon snack (ideal for hikers!). Would recommend this hotel.”
“Host very accomodating, good restaurant on site and nice breakfast. Even provided take away bags so we could pack a few small sandwiches for lunch the day of departure. Kaub is a nice location as you can cross over the Rhine on the ferry if you want to check out the west bank.”
