“The building is historic and the reception halls are very attractive. It was good to be able to use the small breakfast room with free coffee and tea and facilities to bring our own breakfast (breakfast not available from the hotel) The bedroom was simple but spotlessly clean and the beds and linen very comfortable”

“Hotel interior is beautiful. It offers free (make you own) coffee and biscuits. There is also a fridge full of cold beers and drinks in the common area. Grab drinks and pay at the reception. Nearby restaurants serve fantastic food.”

“Ideal place to break a journey north or south - quick access off A4 motorway and easy parking on street, petrol station at entrance to town. Exactly like the photos on Booking and spotlessly clean. Completely comfortable - everything works as it should (ie the showers adjust in height and don't wet the bathroom, there is a place for your toiletries, hairdryer provided, comfortable bed, hanging and case space). Very good value especially when there is a good-sized pool to use (8x5m). The family owners are welcoming and concerned for guests' comfort - they were happy to let me print off an online ticket I had booked. There is also a microwave and pod coffee machine for guests' use. Although the town is probably not a "destination" town, it is beautifully kept and famous for its puff pastry cakes (hojaldres). There is an XVIII century grain store and a quaint church topped with a stork's nest.”

“A wonderful hotel, more like a little palace. The hotel was furnished in, what appeared to be 18th century period. The bedroom was air conditioned. There was a nice pool for cooling off from the heat of the day”
