“This was a really beautiful hotel, highly recommended. Traditional Spanish feel and beautiful patio and garden area in the Spanish style. Lovely spacious room with traditional decor. very well equipped. Large comfortable double bed. Great location in the middle of La Vera and close to the Monastery. Wish we'd realised about the swimming pool earlier! Friendly staff, patient with my poor Spanish, nice evening meal - they even had patates bravas (which strangely we found nowhere else!!) Even got a present of a little tin of pimenton at the end! Fantastic value.”
“this place was an abbey and it still has beautiful features inside such as courtyard with fountain and arches, large stone steps and absolutely beautiul up where the rooms are - with flowering plants so lovely colours. my room was huge and very clean and comfortable - good wifi and good heating made the room warm overnight while it was cold and wet outside - the breakfast that was included was excellent. good choice of dishes on the menu. great price for the atmosphere and character of the place - hardly any english but so very helpful finding people to help with english if its really needed. parking on the street just out the door. and across the street are the paths down into the historic old town to explore. only a few minutes by car to the Yuste monastery. Theres an elevator inside to take you up to the rooms on the upper area so there is good adequate provision for wheelechair clients or if you have difficulties with steps.”
