“A very friendly little hotel. Brightly decorated, with Ikea furniture. Quirky disabled lift for luggage! Good breakfast. Practical parking on site, and a fast-food restaurant in the same block.”

The hotel is particularly well situated for access to the Ring Road heading east towards the south coast, but the local Heiðmörk parkland area is attractive itself.”

“This is a nice little hotel in the outskirts of Reykjavík/Kópavogur. I have stayed there once before. My favorite is the excellent shower in the room, the best I have had at a hotel so far. No luxury but then that is not what I was aiming for as I just needed a bed for the night.”

“I'll try to keep this short but there was so much to love. In a quick list: super clean hotel, water did not smell like sulfur, hot drinking water available all the time downstairs, lovely staff (super kind and genuinely helpful), breakfast included, very close proximity to the highway that gets you everywhere, tons of parking, grocery store right across the street, large beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, elevator to get your stuff up and down, silent. We had an incredible time here which is great considering we had a not so good start of stay. The telephone lines were down and due to a late arrival, we really needed to call the front desk to gain entrance to the hotel. Long story short, we were calling other hotels at 1am looking for a room which isn't easy to do in Iceland where places shut down early. The staff at Heidmork however managed to make everything perfectly pleasant by the next day. They really care for their guests like family.”

“The staff (I am guessing the owners) was very friendly and allowed me to check in early. I completed my bicycling trip one day early and had a reservation at another location the next two nights but was able to book a single room on a busy weekend. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and I enjoyed it even more than most since I had been camping exclusively for over 3 weeks.”
