“Very classy small hotel. Expensive yes - but still value for money. Great rooms, very helpful staff, superb food, and a good selection of local Gaillac wine. Superbly located for site-seeing in Albi itself. And Albi is a great place to be based whilst touring the surrounding area, especially the bastide (fortified) towns. Make sure to visit the gardens of the Berber Palace overlooking the river Tarn in Albi. Magical. It was my partner's 70th and the staff at Alchimy were happy to chill a bottle of Laurent Perrier rose brut that I'd brought over from England. And they supplied an ICBM of a firework candle to go with desert. Loved it, can't wait to return. Maybe for my 70th!”
