“Luchon is a beautiful old town in the Pyrenees. My husband's mother grew up in the town. It's a great place for biking and hiking.”

“The hotel is in a large old house set back from the road which makes it quiet and private. Our room was on the ground floor at the front of the hotel and was nice, airy, clean and comfortable with loads of character. Unlike other hotels that we stayed in where we faced the road, our stay was nice and peaceful. The hotel doesn't do evening meals but there are plenty of restaurants in Luchon itself and we enjoyed a nice Tartiflette in town. The breakfast was good, served by the proprietor rather than a buffet, which was a nice touch.”

“This is a lovely small hotel. The large house has been beautifully renovated in keeping with the character and age of the home and it is clearly a labour of love by its current owners. Our room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The owner is welcoming and very helpful. We were grateful for his kindness and assistance when we experienced difficulties with our accommodation bookings. Breakfast was simple but tasty.”

“Fantastic hosts and a great hotel .Furnished in classical French style Castel de la Pique provides great accommodation. After a short walk into Luchon centre we were spoilt for choice in selecting bars and restaurants . (Alain the owner speaks perfect English and made several recommendations) The promotional photograph is an exact representation of the hotel and we'll have no hesitation in returning to the hotel on our next trip through Spain/France”

“The exterior of the building is lovely and we were greeted by the owners with enthusiasm. The bed itself and the bed linen and towels were fine. The cleanliness all round was good. The location of the hotel itself is within a reasonable distance of the local shops and restaurants so it was a quick walk for our evening meal.”

“Wir waren auf der Durchreise und deshalb nur für eine Nacht in dieser Unterkunft. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, gross mit gutem Doppel- und Einzelbett. Balkon war ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Frühstück war einfach aber gut. Frische Brötli, Butter, Konfitüre, Kaffee und Orangensaft. Käse und Aufschnitt gab es nicht, aber für uns hat es gereicht.”
