“A conveniently situated old fashioned hotel which majors on its restaurant. Friendly staff with lovely ambience in main building. The rooms are motel style with very convenient parking opposite the door which is handy for luggage. The room itself is very adequate but not large and no real sitting space A goid stop off from the motorway with little hassle”

“Very good food both breakfast and dinner of good quality which was justifiably quite expensive. Good location and basic rooms were comfortable but small and only really suitable for short stays. Plenty of space round the property so very suitable for pets. Staff responsive and immediately changed our room when we told them it had an invasion of flying ants!”
“Considering the rooms are laid out like a good old motel – ie. park your car at the door and walk into your room – it is very neat and it's clear that the focus of the hotel is the restaurant (and wine list). I liked my stay. Great restaurant. Fine, hot weather allowed an evening walk under the stars and by the tennis court is a concrete chair... this doesn't sound like something worth referencing but it provided a great spot to sit and stare at the stars and a full moon. And, oddly, it was quite comfy. (Don't book your holiday based on a concrete chair, but I told myself I'd reference it in the Booking review... so I've ticked that off my to-do list.)”
