“Room and facilities, convenient location, helpful and friendly staff”
“The pool table - free. The location and car parking make it a great stopover spot.”
“Beautiful room, excellent bathroom, one of the best breakfasts we ever had in France. The little bar area in the yard with its wonderful choice of whiskeys, brands and wines. A truely perfect place to stay”
“Second stay for my wife and I and not our last. Right in the heart of Bourg adjoined by a specialist Rum bar and a short walk from an embarrassment of dining choices in front of the Brou cathedral. We couldn't ask for more attentive service or more comfortable rooms.”
“Breakfast was excellent and the gentlemen that served us coffee was very helpful and polite. Yes it was an expensive breakfast but we enjoyed it very much.”
“I absolutely love this place and always make a point of staying there when I can - in a fabulous location, in the beautiful city of Bourg-en-Bresse, the Griffon d'Or is one of the nicest boutique hotels I've stayed in anywhere, not just in France...the rooms are great; very well appointed, tastefully designed with just enough original features to give them a genuine personality, the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality throughout & the staff are absolutely brilliant. Helpful (great restaurant recommendation - much appreciated), friendly and attentive - top job everyone! I really can't praise this place enough, although now I've given it a glowing review there's a danger I won't be able to get a room next time...”
“Staff extremely helpful and rooms are spacious and beautiful. Loved the architecture, art and facilities. The entire property is wonderful.”
“The room was quiet and comfortable in a lovely old building”
“The staff took a genuine interest in giving us the maximum comfort and pleasure. Going so far as to ask us whether they could book a restaurant for us - which they did and got us past the queue at Brasserie Le Francais”
