“The hotel is in a beautiful position overlooking open countryside. Our room had a balcony which also overlooked the open-air swimming pool. The food and service was excellent.”

“My wife and I and 2 friends stayed here for 4 nights. It's in a beautiful setting a few kilometres from Sarlat. The rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable with good bathrooms. We were blessed with excellent weather which meant we could eat our breakfast every day outside on tables overlooking the valley. The selection of food for the continental breakfast was excellent and the hotel owner, Joel, came round every day to personally wish us good day. The hotel also offered a food menu in the evening which we didn't try but instead chose to drive into Sarlat for an evening meal (a bit of a way there and back but there is plenty of convenient cheap parking in Sarlat). Parking at the hotel wasn't a problem and the pool was clean and warm. The village of Marquay did have a restaurant (but it was closed) and a little bar but we didn't try it out. I would certainly recommend Joel's hotel.”
