“great setting - a bit further from Cublac than you may have imagined - overlooking the hills on the horizon and valley below, in countryside; beautiful building, and pool, and extensive grounds set out for informal camping in huts set out for those who like the outdoors. The staff are wonderful which makes a huge contribution, and the chef is a genius: delish meals from quality ingredients. Lovely room with private patio and large shower room. Interesting family history associated with the property.”

“lovely B&B located in the hills above Cublac. lots of parking ( made room in the garage for 2 motorcycles.) swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi ect .Made to feel very welcome by all staff. We took the 35 euro menu but there was much more you could choose from. Fantastic food. no breakfast taken so can't comment”

“Incredible hotel in a very rural location near Brive with a lovely pool and excellent facilities. It had the look of having been recently refurbished as everything was spotless, clean and tastefully done. We had a large room overlooking the back of the property with a double for us, twin beds for the children and a vast bathroom with his and hers sinks! What we didn't realise was that the restaurant seemed to be locally respected and having booked for dinner on arrival, we were treated to a first class menu of delicious French cooking, which although pricey, was excellent. As the weather was warm, both dinner and breakfast the next morning were served outside on the terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside.”

“The proximity to A20 was very convenient and location was easy to find. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Our duplex suite was very beautiful. We enjoyed our swimming in the pool. The dinner in the restaurant and our breakfast were delicious and locally sourced.”

“Relaxed, family run place and the staff were fantastic, so helpful and welcoming. A lot of love and care put into the decor and outside space and the place always felt like we had it to ourselves despite being relatively full in peak summer. Beautiful setting with superb views of the countryside. Excellent range and choice at breakfast with top quality ingredients. A shame we only stayed for one night as a stop over, could of stayed a lot longer.”

“The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Diner and wine are excellent and certainly not expensive. It was very hot but our family room was cool (note : air conditioning is only available on the first floor). We also had a spacious bath room and a terrace to gaze at the beautiful valley and the starry sky. The hotel is far uphill from the small village of Cublac. My GPS couldn't find it but luckily one just has to follow the signs. Since it is remote it is very quiet. But it is not far from the motorway. The world famous prehistoric site of Lascaux is very near: a must see (see picture).”
