“We traveled in mid November - low season and got a great rate. Staff very friendly. The hotel is located below the village of Saint Cirq, across the river. We were upgraded to a room with a terrace which had beautiful views of the village, looking across some grape vines and sheep grazing. We used the free shuttle bus up to the restaurant in Saint Cirq Lapopie which worked worked well for us. Lovely meal and wine at a reasonable price. We didn't access any spa facilities while we were there, so can't give advice.”
“Lovely views from the bedroom windows. Although we didn't use it, the small, unheated outside pool looked very inviting - a quick swim in the indoor heated pool cost €18 per person (2 hour access) so we didn't consider that.”
“Staff very helpful, eg when we asked for some hot water for our flask they gave us a kettle for our personal use. Restaurants they operated were very good . Excellent location for those who like magnificent scenery.”
“We didn't have the breakfast as we had our own food. The accommodation had a lovely little garden area with a table and chairs where we were able to eat a picnic whilst watching the sunset. There is a spa but we didn't use it as we were happy to use the outdoor pool.”
“We were upgraded to an apartment with full kitchen, sitting room, terrace, which although not having a view was lovely accomodation. The one downside was no restaurant on site, although they did offer breakfast as an extra. There was a free shuttle up to Saint Cirq Lapopie which was a good idea, but because of the time of year (end of Sept) there were only 2 restaurants open in the evening and if you didn't like duck, the only option was a burger, which was pretty poor. We had difficulty finding a chicken or fish dish in this part of France over the whole week travelling the Tarn, Lot & Dordogne area, which surprised us! There is a nice spa and pool at this hotel, we didn't use but looked nice & outside pool. Weather was amazing for end of Sept & we enjoyed sitting on terrace with a few cold beers.”
“Best breakfast. Apartment was nicely designed/contemporary. Lots to do in surrounding area.”
“Very professional staff. They provided free van transport to and from the nearby village for dinner.”
“Hotel St Cirq was a fantastic place to spend a few days for vacation. The hotel has a wonderful location with very picturesque views over the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing transportation to St Cirq for dinner. Don't miss out on the breakfast in the morning, it included a fresh assortment of produce, pastries and eggs from the region.”
“The room had a patio which was really part of a vineyard with views across the valley. Very peaceful rural atmosphere.”
“The setting of this property is fantastic. Beautiful views and gardens. We had been upgraded to an apartment and enjoyed the extra space. Bed was very comfy. Showers superb. Very friendly staff. Very relaxing to sit on patio with glass of wine with views of medieval St Cirque. The evening service of the navette up to the village for a meal is fantastic especially after a long days drive. The breakfasts are superior with freshly squeezed juice, lots of different fruits and breads, eggs, toast!!! and local specialities such as freshly cooked ' pain perdu'. A superb spot . This was a return visit for us. September 2017”
