“Food and white wine excellent, red wine hopeless far too cold ruined it. They said they couldn't do anything about it!!! No bath mat small towels sink mechanism broken wouldn't empty properly. Still had to pay for the red wine.”

L''Auberge de la Caillere is close to several notable chateaux and about 15 mins drive from Blois, which was ideal for us.We enjoyed and evening meal and, as other reviewers have noted, the food is excellent and well presented. However, we were amused to be served two portions of butter on a piece of slate. Nice butter but a bit over the top.”

It was an absolute feast and the staff were all very good at their job and the Chef exceptional. We would definitely go there again. If there are any foodies out there, do yourselves a favour and sample one of their menus! Not too expensive either!”
