“Watamu is a nice little town with a lot of tourists. The Mawimbi lodge was a very sweet and rather small hotel with very nice and cosy rooms. The beds were big and comfy (something we really appreciated since most other beds we experienced were really small). The staff was absolutely lovely and helpful. The pool was clean and nice. The restaurant is a little pricey (compared with local prices!) but the food was very good and if you feel like not spending all your money there you always have the opportunity to go out and eat for less in some of the street-restaurants. The breakfast- which you can book with your room or as an addition when you arrive (at least thats what we could do) was amazing and really worth the money. We enjoyed our stay and were a little sad to leave. Thanks for having us!”
