“We enjoyed the observatory sessions. When the sky was clear, the session was held at the observatory, in Japanese. When the sky was cloudy, the session was held indoors at the dome theater. The whole feel of the accommodation was very comforting, with beautiful space for kids to run around. I stayed at 305 which was a short walk from the lobby/restaurant. Room had a basic cooking stove. Staff made a lot of effort to communicate with us in English. Food served was very well done.”

“Before the stay I have read about the comments complaining that the facilities were old. After the stay I think that it is true that the place looked old but it was comfortable and clean. I think that is the designated style of the place. French-style food was served and it was surprisingly good. It may not be the authentic French food but it was comparable to a decent restaurant in Paris.”
“Exceptional experience of starry night and astronomical telescope. The hotel offered free sessions (in Japanese) of star viewing. Delicious dinner. Free session of private hotspring. Spacious house for family. We were lucky as it was so cloudy before the dinner. Turns out the sky became clear and we could enjoy the very special experience. If weather forecast gives you confidence to see the stars, you should book this hotel.”
“Cozy cottages like they came out of picture books. Friendly staff but they keep good distance to serve our privacy. The best part is the star gazing with huge telescope when not cloudy or in-door planetarium. Outside cottages have small kitchen with microwave. But their French dinner and breakfast were just superb. The staff speak good English!”
