“This hotel is beautiful, we couldn't believe our eyes as we walked in. The decor of the rooms and the inner terrace is tasteful and elegant. The rooms are very big with very nice forniture. It's right beside the cathedral so very easy to reach and very central. I still cannot believe we paid the same money for this lovely hotel as for basic pousadas in the Amazons. The staff is helpful and welcoming. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which offers lovely choices for ok prices. ”

“The property,'s decor was reminiscent of the farmhouses/ fazendas/country weekend estates in the 18th century middle class Brazilian Gentry coupled with very modern facilities. The internal courtyard has a real charm about it. It was also right next door to a charming botanical garden Mangal das Gracas, which is situated right alongside a tributary of the the Amazon river and it was lovely to just walk around the corner and have a smorgasbord dinner there, overlooking the mighty Amazon. This place also has a wonderful marine museum underneath the restaurant.”
