“This hotel is a small jewel in the midst of the Santo da Serra mountain in Madeira. The quality of the restaurant is superb as is the attention to detail by the staff. Our bedroom was the main suite, which is large with a beautiful sun terrace and cosy as well. I would advise this hotel to anyone who wishes for a relaxing holiday with old time charm and one of the best restaurants in Madeira within the hotel's premises. Absolutely perfect and a true delight!”
“Everything. Room large and comfortable, excellent dinner and breakfast, everywhere clean and well maintained and friendly staff. Nothing to dislike. A great introduction to Madeira”
“If you would like to be spoiled and to enjoy a quiet and relaxing place this is it. We felt great here and the staff is so nice. It's a 100 years old building, once used as a tea house fully refurbished now. I will start with the food as this is amazing and you will have to take at least one dinner here. The tuna and the prawns were delicious. The rooms are large with king size bads with very good matress. It has a small pool with a sauna. Also they have a list of massages that you can enjoy in a cozy room, a gym and 2 lounge rooms one where you can drink the afternoon tea and in the other one you can play chess. Since is in the mountains the weather is mostly cloudy but even so you can go hiking on levadas or It's a really nice park near by called Quinta da junta. It's worth 6* review as is above more 5 star hotels I've been so far.”
“The hotel has no air conditioning. This means the humidity in the room is very high to the point that the bed linens feel moist. The rooms are showing signs of mildew, especially in the bathroom. However, this hotel has its merits, it has a nice little dining area which contains about 13 tables. The food is very good although a little pricey. The hotel is clean. For most part the staff is friendly enough. This boutique hotel is in a good location on a golf course. They give you a good breakfast although at times the room is small so you feel cramped. Value for the money a little on the pricey side. If you are willing to pay top dollar then you will get a more spacious room or else the standard rooms are smaller in size.”
“Having a sauna. Pool open until 8pm. Use of bikes.”
“If you are looking for a small sized hotel in a quiet location and access in the forest and a golf course, then this is the place to be. We absolutely loved the quiet and peaceful environment and the cleanliness of the place. We stayed 8 days and we enjoyed great sleep and food. The breakfast was simple but with delicious ingredients. The chef showed great dedication as he was checking the platters every 10min to make sure that we will not run out of anything. The same for the restaurant. We had a dinner twice and it was delicious, too. The pool worths doing a dive if you fancy, and the hotel had a sauna which we didn't have the chance to try. Last but not least, the golf course is literally 5min away and for golf lovers, it is a great combination.”
“Beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The swimming pool and sauna were very nice to use after a day hiking. the restaurant was also very good. The restaurant at the golf club was also excellent.”
“Bed very comfy, room delightful with a little private garden for each room. Pool all to myself too!”
“Just everything, location for golf, Levada walks, Funchal access. Public transport. Gorgeous suite. Excellent food. Absolute value for money. Free parking. Golf club security inhouse. Pool and garden. Nothing too much for the staff.”
“Great hotel for allergic persons, no mold, no dust, great air”
