“Located on the camino. Look for the Albergue Peregrinos Mealhada sign with Hilario written in smaller letters. Photo on Booking.com is of the front of the hotel on the highway that the camino turns off of so we first walked by the hotel that is close to the corner. Excellent overnight stay. Had a wonderful soup and feijoada main dish in the restaurant.”
“Great welcome and offered water after a long walk on the Camino.”
“Great laundry service. 3€ to machine wash a pilgrim load and hang dry. In house restaurant provides cheap suckling pig pilgrim meal. Right on the Camino.”
“Great breakfast. I got a single but the alberque looked alright. Good kitchen and close supermarket. ”
“Right on the camino, clean with air-conditioning. Laundry service, they wash and hang and you take off the line for 3 euro.. Private room/bath a great deal. Gentleman who checked us in was VERY friendly and gave us a free water on our scorching hot day of arrival.”
“Good albergue, covered outdoor area wash sink. Helpful manager. Good showers.”
“Lunch at the restaurant was fantastic. Great staff. Great place if you are doing the Camino portuguese”
“We are walking the Camino Portuguese to Santiago. The place is welcoming. We had a private room and it was quiet and very clean. Onsite you can handwash and hang your clothes. On the grounds is their family restaurant which served a pilgrim's meal. They also have other items. I recommend this place.”
“The hosts were fondly and welcoming and made sure the pilgrims staying with them were well cared for”
“For the second time I stayed at the Albergue for pilgrims in the Residencial Hilario and everything was excellent! From the cleanliness to the services (Wi-Fi works well), to the food at the restaurant (the Leitão was so delicious). The staff is very friendly, they are very helpful. Thank you again”
