“Comfortable bed and room. Location is rural. Restaurant is a 'fine dining' establishment, which means more expensive than we had planned, but the level of personalized service was quite high and the food was excellent.”

“This is predominantly a fine restaurant with comfortable rooms. I last stayed there 24 years ago and the same owners are running the place now. I remember the meal I had back then, and the food is STILL fabulous. For that alone, it is worth the trip, although in fact I was staying as a stop-off as part of a driving tour of the Great War battlefields. It is in the middle of the Forest of Argonne, where a lot of brutal fighting took place, and it is less than an hour away from Verdun, so ideally placed for my purposes. But the food and surroundings, the sound of trees, birdsong, insects and the odd tractor are the real draw. This as "profounde" as France gets.”
“It was nice but walk ways nearby are not well marked. The hotel rooms are ok and the food is good but both are too expensive. We have stayed at nice hotels with equally good restaurants but with lower prices.”

The cuisine was excellent using local produce in a most imaginative way served in the sunny restaurant. Comfortable rooms overlooking the rural view. We will defiantly return to repeat this delightful visit.”

“Convenient overnight stop en route from Switzerland to the UK. Delightful and very quiet position on the edge of a regional forest and overlooking farmland and the forest. Large bedroom and clean, well-equipped shower room. Plenty of parking spaces next to the hotel.”
