“Very good value with a good sized room (for Japan). Very good service with a warm welcome including the best coffee we had in our three weeks in Japan. This was also available at breakfast, which was to order the night before (Western or Japanese) and OK. The hotel is about a mile from the castle but in a commercial area with many places to eat around. The hotel provides their own printed map of local restaurants - a great idea and I wish more places did this. We enjoyed their recommendation of an Indian two doors away run by a charming Nepalese couple, but there were lots of other places including a French Bistro and fast food outlets. Hikone is a bit off the usual foreign tourist circuit but recommended if you have a car - do not miss the lovely garden attached to the National Treasure Historic Castle (UNESCO listing applied for).”
“The room was very big and had a lot of space. I would recommend this hotel for one night stays, not for more. The stuff were very kind and helpful. The hotel provided breakfast, laundry and had many and various vending machines which were very handy.”

“The room was bigger than other business hotel rooms in Japan. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices. The self-serve laundry even had free detergent. As cyclist it was great to walk next door to a large grocery store for supplies.”
“Choice of a Japanese or Western breakfast which was delicious. Close to many restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Liked the wood sliding panels to close the windows instead of curtains. Great for room darkening. 5 minute bus ride to Hikone castle.”
“It's a standard APA hotel with decent small-scale room. The vending machines were wide variety including cup-noodles, etc. The staff were friendly and readily supplied an extra pillow when requested.”
“The hotel is not near the train station and you have to take the bus however the bus stop is near the hotel. Front desk staff are great. Restaurants, convenient stores and supermarkets are on the same road. Good breakfast both western and Japanese is available at minimum charge.”
