“We stayed here before on our way back to Calais. Friendly staff spoke good English. Tv had a couple of English channels. Free WiFi in the room. Even tho there is no restaurant in hotel there Is one within walking distance across the road which opens at 7pm or another a bit further down the road. Breakfast was help yourself to cheese/ham bread, crossiants yoghurts or boil your own egg. Free parking hotel as a fence around which a gate is locked at night so felt safe leaving motorcycle outside.”

“Well presented, clean, very comfortable, spacious, lifts, welcoming and helpful staff, 24 hour reception, good parking. Great views of the volcanoes from our room. Rooms had extra folding chairs to make seating for the whole family. Quiet air-conditioning. Great stop-over at a very good price.”

“The Ace hotel at Room was the first of the chain that we stayed at in 2012, on the way home from our holiday that year. We were impressed with the accommodation and have always looked for Ace hotels for necessary overnight stopovers to and from our annual holidays since. Despite the intervening years, the room was looking clean and fresh. The bed was super comfortable, there were English channels on the tv, the air conditioning was very efficient (and welcome in the mid 30 degrees temperature outside) and there was no noise from outside to disturb the peace in our room. Ace provide quite a good buffet breakfast, especially for the price, although it is advisable to be there early for the best choice, as although some items are regularly topped up, there wasn't much ham or cheese left when we went for ours. There is no restaurant there for an evening meal, but we took the short walk to the nearby La Mangoune for a very pleasant and reasonably inexpensive meal.”
