“The property is beautiful. The views are amazing. The lake is fresh and clean. The kayaks are fine. Swimming is great. The golf course is pristine and looks tough although I did not golf. The mini golf was fun. The restaurant is OK. The breakfast is good however the other meals are just OK. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The motel is old and worn however the beds are clean and comfortable. If investors could improve the motel, this would be a fabulous family vacation.”

“I liked that in looking at past reviews, the management seemed to be both apologetic and responsive to concerns. Yes, it is an older property with some issues to address, but they are clearly trying to do that in as rapid fashion as they can. The bedding was very nice, the bathroom was nicely remodeled, the beds were comfortable to us. The pool and gym equipment were top notch. The area was great, especially the charming town of Oakland, MD, where we found a few great little restaurants, and Swallow Falls State Park, which is in an 350-year old grove of Hemlock and feels like the Pacific NW.”
