“It's quaintness, hotel built in the 1860's during gold rush. Also town is a step back in time.”
“queen bed comfy and we loved the peace and quiet, however our unit was rather tired, shabby and little bathroom toilet let it down. Place needs more attention to detail of comfort and extras and homely touches. Meals are good which helps.”

“Excellent dinner. Menu choices were mouth watering. Loved the West Coast whitebait patties. Meals presently beautifully and we ate everything on our plates. We stayed in a one bedroom chalet in the grounds of the Hotel. It was comfortable and cosy and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Adrian(the owner) was so helpful. Nice to have a drink in a pub and get to chat with the friendly locals.”
