“The bathroom was clearly brand new, beautifully done and well kitted out. The hotel was a great combination of preserved history meets mod cons. It was very clean and attractive; in lovely grounds (the public park); and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was not an issue at all as we parked in the street very close to the hotel and got a permit from the hotel. It is on the very edge of town so no noticeable road noise and there were some dramatic views from the windows.”

The garden surrounding the property, and the history of the convent with all detail preserved and very smartly renovated, gives this accommodation unique characteristics. We also had dinner (choosing the tasting set menus) on an evening, which is very highly recommended.”

“Beautiful architecture skillfully transformed from franciscan simplicity into (compact!) luxury pad. (It's obviously not aimed at guests with a developed sense of irony.) No danger of noise or light pollution as you're next to a park (currently undergoing restoration) and overlooking the valley at the edge of town.”
