“Friendly, welcoming staff, who's English was 100% better than our French. Small but comfy rooms. Food good.”
“Loved the location and hotel. It was a lovely cool oasis when we arrived on bikes from a hot sticky ride across rural France. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. All very clean and well maintained.”
“South of Paris can be very overcrowded but this is an old fashioned oasis of peace opposite a small, beautiful lake.”
“I loved the setting, the quiet, the size of the room, the view of the little lake from it, the food in the restaurant, the attentiveness of the staff, the ease of travelling to Paris by train and to a wide variety of interesting destinations by bus, . I was glad I had already booked to return.”
“Location was great, close enough from the train station, but facing a small lake. Dinner on the terrace under the shade was very enjoyable. Also, a very quiet environment, and a good breakfast, with granola and fresh fruit in addition to fresh croissants and good bread”
“Very quiet location. Unfortunately it was a short stopover to see some friends, so we didn't use the hotel's restaurant. Free parking in a small car park opposite the hotel. Pleasant staff.”
“Beautiful quiet location at lake. Friendly personal. No room spray in hotel (very rara in Paris and France).”
“Wonderful location; quiet, the small lake, the green environment, but only a short walk to train and local bus terminus and local small shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom were generous in size - great view of the lake. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed. The restaurant terrace - shaded with climbing plants (and, it seemed, no bugs) was a great sitting-out place. The two meals I had were very good - unfussy, delicious French cuisine.”
“The breakfast was good but there was no fresh fruit on the second morning. The croissants were flaky and big. Delicious! The room was lovely and clean and the beds very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. The lake is very pretty and the ducks and Canada geese were a sight to behold,”
“Beautiful quiet location of the St Remy les Chevreuse; friendly stuff; no room-spray in room (very rare in France).”
