“A lovely local auberge providing a homely, relaxed and rustic atmosphere. Staff were lovely and very accommodating with my rusty French, particularly as we were going to arrive late for dinner. Dinner was superb, even my daughter tried fish (which she wouldn't eat normally) and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was simple but we had exquisitely fresh crisp light French pastries - (ordered the evening before).”
“We were travelling from Paris to Biarritz and we stopped off here en route. We arrived expecting a mediocre rushed dinner with the kids but we got a gourmet experience that we did not expect. We actually had similar meals in Michelin star restaurant, not that we go often of bring kids! Our kids were entertained by playing in the park alongside the restaurant while Mum and Dad enjoyed dinner and a bottle or wine. Really pleasant staff also and lady of the house was very accommodating. We got a real French experience in a traditional setting. The dog at reception was a real star too! Take a detour off the motorway for a real treat.”
