“Great stopover. We booked this hotel en route north but were most impressed by the room, meals and staff. Questions I had beforehand were answered by phone and email, promptly and courteously. Our room was huge with a great bathroom (more later!) and plenty of room to accommodate our dog. A lovely meal in the bar - there is also a restaurant area - with good, cheerful service. I had a cocktail and my husband was delighted to find wheat beer on tap. The bowl of olives from a large jar on the bar were the best I've ever had: prepared in house, I believe. A little trouble in the morning deciphering the modern controls in the shower, but this was dealt with promptly and, again, in a cheerful way. A fantastic breakfast to which we could not do justice... do be aware that you pay for breakfast separately from the room...a reasonable idea if you do not want very much. All in all, I recommend this hotel.”
