“The staff were so nice and attentive. We originally booked to be in the old building, however upon arrival we were upgraded into a new suite overlooking the sea which was double the price. Breakfast had a gpod selection of continental food as well as traditional japanese breakfast. The restaurant at the hotel had a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and food was great. Overall id definitely recommend beach hotel sunshine.”
“The pool is quite good and the view is excellent! ”
“The hotel's new wing is stunning although you pay a big price tag for it. The breakfast buffet has fantastic Japanese and Western options. The hotel bath (onsen) is perfect for typhoon days and it is close enough to town that you can drive in easily - although having your own hire car is highly recommended. Also, the restaurant on the wooden pier is fantastic and can watch the sunset from the wooden deck.”
“The breakfast is a buffet with fresh smoothie and passion fruit juice. The dinner was a full course menu with a half lobster, fish kebabs, meat kebab from Ishigaki. It was very copious and eating on the terrace was marvelous. There is hot water bath, ofuro, with a beautiful view on the sea. It is really clean looking as well.”
“Perfect infinity pool with awesome sunset. Delicious breakfast buffet. Nice location to have an enjoyable holiday in Ishigaki and very helpful staffs :)”
“The swimming pool. Close to town but not too close. Friendly staff.”
“we like the breakfast and the type of food they served. not a grand one with all the best food from Japan, but good enough. the public bath was good. the swimming pool was nice with a wonderful view.”
“Beach Hotel Sunshine is clean and comfortable but not worth the cost of the accommodation.”
“The location is good and easy to reach by taxi from city or harbour. Buses run too infrequently, but for a family of four the price for a taxi makes not much difference anymore. In good weather, the view of neighboring islands and the sunset is great, only the outdoor pool is not open during winter months and there is no beach to swim directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast is fine with a variety of Japanese and Western food, and the sophisticated restaurant in the garden offers plenty of grilled seafood specialities. In the evenings, we enjoyed a spacy Onsen at the end of our floor which also had a small basin outside in fresh air. Staff was very attentive as usual for Japan.”
“The sea view and the infinity pool are beautiful! Buffet breakfast with various local food choices.”
