“Great staff welcome from the moment of arrival!! Wonderful hotel and can feel the history of a former monastery everywhere. The weather was not great while we were there so our time in the restaurant on a few occasions not great - great terrace if weather okay but winds blew the screens onto our table and we were freezing as well as the food - waiters a bit chaotic and same at breakfast- we spent one day at the pool which was okay and leaves frequently were being extracted from the pool . The room was great and really luxurious though not a good view”
“The accommodations, location and service are everything you could want. Our family enjoyed the beautiful setting overlooking Florence, the pool in the garden and the shuttle service to Florence. The concierge was very helpful in securing tickets for our family to the Calcio Storica, which I came to realize was not a simple feat. We had adjoining rooms that worked perfectly for our family of five. The food is wonderful and suitable for the varied tastes of our family members. If you are looking for a relaxing place from which to base your visit to Florence, I would recommend the Villa San Michelle for your strong consideration.”
