“The staff were all super-friendly and the hotel exuded an aura of comfort.”
“Lovely location near Durham and Newcastle. Friendly helpful staff”
“The dining room staff were very friendly, efficient and made one feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The front of house staff were equally helpful. The food was of a very high standard. The location of the Hall is well located for visiting the Pennines, Durham City etc. My wife and I enjoyed walking around the Estate taking in the gardens watching the Fallow Deer. We will be returning next year for a longer stay.”
“Surprise from MAM as we attended the only fools and horses comedy evening, and she thought it would be nice for us to stay over as it is our birthdays within 2 weeks of each other. VERY impressed with everything. WE will DEFINATELY stay over again. Breakfast was lush (despite only 1 sausage) !!!!!!!!!!”
“Breakfast was good, though would have liked a bigger fruit selection”
“We booked for 3 people staying. When we arrived we had a twin room! They sorted it straight away. No problem at all. We also got recognised for stay here before. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.”
“Staff helpful friendly and accommodating when we arrived later than expected for an evening meal”
“Everything! The staff were lovely, the rooms were amazing, and breakfast was delicious.”
“The breakfast was superb and the staff really friendly”
“Very comfortable beds in a lovely, large room. Beautiful hotel in a superb location, surrounded by trees and parkland with deer. Interesting decor with dozens of tasteful pictures and old photos lining the corridors. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice; cereals, fruit, croissants, pastries, cooked meats, many cooked options, etc. No problem when we said we wanted our tea and toast a bit later (i.e. after the cooked breakfast, as we always do). Friendly, helpful and polite staff. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant in the old library.”
