“A very well run hotel where nothing is too much trouble”
“We were upgraded to a ‘signature’ room which was marvellous, especially the bathroom which may have been recently refurbished. All staff were excellent. Restaurant food delicious.”

“None of the above describe the property's style as it's a traditional country hotel. Luxury would be inappropriate by today's standards, neither is it a boutique, modern or design hotel. Instead it's comfortable, slightly quirky and very English as well as having beautiful grounds, excellent facilities such as the pool, golf course (so I'm told) and croquet lawn available to guests. These are the qualities we enjoyed, please don't change it!”

“Staff very friendly, food excellent, Bar service very good. Acceptance of pets very good they even provided dog blanket and bowl in our room. But what I did find pretty amazing was the extent of the 65 Acre grounds, well landscaped and leading down to the River Estuary , where Kayaking or Boat trips could be had, I can't vouch for the Golf course as I'm not a Golfer. My only very minor complaint is that the same Piano player playing during the evening meal became a bit monotonous”
