“The castle has a lot of character and personality! There were few other guests there when we stayed, so we had fun exploring the beautiful historic place. The nice lady running the restaurant allowed us to switch dining tables so that we could sit in front of the fire. She also explained the whole menu to us, as we could not read or speak the local language. Our beef-tips entree was served on a flaming hot miniature sword as a skewer. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious. Our night at Burg Colmwell was part of a 3 week, 10 country visit throughout Europe in celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. It was definitely one of the very top highlights of the whole trip!”
“It´s really cool to be in a castle. It was easy to reach to location, and if you were in a car, it would not be difficult to get into rothemburg. Staff was helpful with a parking ticket I got because I thought parking outside the walls were free.”
“My husband and I were able to stay in this wonderful castle for only 1 night. We were given Room #34. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. We were lucky enough to be able to eat in the restaurant for dinner. It was the best meal we had on our 9 day Germany trip. Order the pork/beef skewer, it was delicious. Buffet breakfast was also great. I wish we had more time at Burg Colmberg, we will definitely be back.”
