“We were 'upgraded' to a room in the main hotel Santa Marina. Excellent location for exploring Venice centre.”
“An excellent breakfast was provided and the cleaner did a beautiful job in the room every day - without any hassle about time in or out of the room. We booked Ca Minella but were accommodated in (upgraded to?) the Hotel Santa Marina. We found Ca Minella around the corner and I suspect that at quieter times of the year you may get an upgrade. This means you get a fantastic deal in a lovely hotel.”

Good location on a neighborhood square, a short walk to the Rialto Bridge and a long walk to Piazza San Marco. Great breakfast. Pleasant staff. Next door to a well-stocked grocery store (very rare in Venice). Good location, but not next to a canal.”

“The hotel is in one of the nicer districts of Venice, close'ish to St. Mark's square, needs a bit of navigation and good luck to get there, but doable. This is not the Santa Marina hotel, but an "annex." I was apprehensive about this from reviews (here) but there's really nothing to worry about. No dark alleys like I've read here, nothing untoward, it's just a separate building. The lobby is squeaky clean (literally squeaks when you walk), the rooms are decked out pretty nicely with all sorts of facilities. Even if some of the rooms might be a little bit cramped, they managed to fit everything in. Might bump into stuff in the middle of the night, though. WiFi was excellent. The hotel was just fine, very comfortable, clean, and safe. Staff sent us to some really nice restaurants and were helpful.”
