“We absolutely loved Casa Aliso and were so sad we only got to enjoy it for one night. It's in a great neighborhood (La Floresta - a great break from the touristy Old Town, and we didn't even go into Gringolandia) and the hotel itself is incredibly charming. The staff was very friendly, responsive and offered to serve breakfast at 5am before we had to leave, which was above and beyond what we were expecting. Normal breakfast starts at 7 or 7:30, and they didn't even hesitate to accommodate us. Our room was spacious, beautiful and even had a small porch. Any time I get to take photos of my room like a tourist, I know it's a great hotel. The best part was the price - it was less expensive than most of our other hotels in Ecuador and was by far the best value for money. Absolutely recommend!”

“Beautiful 'home' with comfortable and nicely appointed rooms (very comfortable bed, TV, I loved my sink! [an old-fashioned converted wash basin], etc) -- thoughtful touches. The staff were friendly & helpful, spoke English, & breakfast was simple but tasty. Felt very safe: a handful of restaurants are right outside the door (including 1 highly rated one), and several have security people outside, not to mention that the Embassy of Spain is a block away, so there's security for that, as well.”
