In order to be exempt from this extra charge of 18% VAT, a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. Both documents must be presented in order to qualify for exemption from payment. Otherwise, the indicated supplement must be paid. This tax is applied per room and is charged in shared rooms that have exempt and non-exempt guests. Foreign guests staying on business who request a printed invoice must pay this surcharge of 18%, regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This supplement is not automatically included in the total amount of the reservation.<p>Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
