“This is a delightful property with the added advantage of an outdoor pool. The accommodation is lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners could not do enough for us. There is no restaurant on site but we were driven to a typical Galician restaurant and collected when we had finished our meal. The communal salon has an honesty bar so were delighted to have a pre-dinner gin and tonic and a post-dinner gin and tonic. This experience was enhanced when the owners brought us ice and lemon to accompany our drinks. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and beautifully served. We used this accommodation as part of our camino trip and in the morning, the owner very kindly drove my daughter and I to the camino (with our rucksacks). Would love to return to this property again. The owners could not do enough for us. Delightful people and place. Such a happy place to be and what cute, well-behaved dogs who met us on our camino and showed us the way to the property!!”
“Location location location OMG amazing! Fantastic walk in and out! Views do die for!”
“Fabulous remote location, beautiful tasteful accommodation, friendly family run, great dinner, lovely outdoor pool & wonderful views.”
“A good stopping off point for walkers on the Camino. The hotel will either fetch from the nearby village or provide a local taxi number. Comfortable and relaxing with an excellent dinner.”
“It was very peaceful; few tourists, beautiful countryside. It is a place to read and relax. The Camino de Santiago is very accessible. The pool is superb, very clean, large and magnificent views. We arranged to eat in one evening and the meal was excellent; simple but made from top quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The family could not have been more helpful.”
“The house and gardens were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome by a lovely family who looked after us during our stay. Food was cooked for us in the evening and the quality of the meal was exceptional.”
“The room was in a separate block overlooking a beautiful quiet valley which allowed us to sit and read in tranquility. We were able to get the evening meal relatively early. It was a beautifully cooked, simple meal using high quality ingredients which was exactly what we wanted.”
“Four of us were walking the Camino pilgrimage trail from Ourense to Santiago. Casa Casarellos is a little bit off the trail but after contacting the owner he arranged to come and collect us in the town of Cea and to drop us off at the Camino trail in the morning. He was very friendly and helpful and refused any money for this extra service. The hotel was amazing, a huge big old stone farmhouse that had been beautifully converted. Big comfortable rooms with top class facilities and great views over the Galetian countryside. Good wholesome breakfast, friendly staff and great value for money. Highly reccomended.”
“Location perfect. Lovely property & room & good amenities, including honesty bar & comfortable lounge area. Had well cooked dinner on two nights & at €13 per head, great value. Carlotta (daughter of owner,) really pleasant & helpful as were all the family.”
“The family running the property were welcoming and could not do enough for us. Beautiful rural surroundings and views, great food. They sorted out a taxi to take on our luggage to the next hotel and gave us a lift so we could carry on walking the Camino from where we left off the previous day. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.”
