“We liked the mystique of the place, the heavy dark wood furniture, the elaborate vases and chandeliers, the old-fashioned style of the place and the creaky wooden floors. We loved the glamorous blue stone columns on entry under which you can sip a drink in the warm summer evening and the deep forest surrounding the place. It's a small family-run hotel and the owner happily recounts the history of the place and how him and his wife renovated the castle during 5 years. He is also an old-timer enthusiast so you will find some interesting car exhibits in the garage. Dinner servings were very generous - quail, steak, lots of veggies, desert, good wine.”
