“The room was comfy but a bit barren (no kettle) - but everything was available via room service. The TV was a feast, with channels in German, Arabic, Russian, Italian, Spanish, you felt at the centre of the world. Best of all was the view from the lounge bar and breakfast area - watching those giant ships serenely passing by on the Sea of Marmara. The room included customized writing paper and envelopes on a 1950s nostalgia theme - celebrating the year of the hotel's founding.”
