“This hotel is always lovely - I have used it for 8 years when I visit the area . It is nice to see familiar faces at reception and in the restaurant which evidences that they can keep their staff . Food is always good quality. The hotel reception did have the kind thought to warn via message of the road closure in the advance.”
“Beautiful surroundings. We stayed here when a friend got married at the venue. The staff could not have been more helpful and tentative. Including staying up to tend to the bar! The venue throughout was stunning. The rooms were a great size, modern and we liked that it was a short walk from the reception area for the wedding. Breakfast the next morning was great. My only critique was that we didn't spend enough actual time there. Would have loved to if tried and evening meal.”
“Staff were very welcoming and helpful. A lovely hotel. Room was huge for 1 person with all I required. I would like to return in spring/summer to walk in the grounds. The evening meal was as good as it gets. I had a lovely salad starter, followed by venison, celeriac mash and baby root veg, along with a few red wine. Excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Fruit, cereals, juice, continental style and a choice of freshly cooked breakfast. My only gripe was the toaster, once through hardly done but twice through overdone. Probably my fault”

“I've been a few times.but first time staying over night the only problems I had were the coffee machine in my room was the coffee pod type it would not work the bedside lamp blu and the smart TV had no WiFi connection so it did not work properly on the freeview part worked very comfortable bed but the duvet was to heavy and warm for me so an option of another type of bedding would b great”
