“It is a beautifully updated building which had sat vacant for 40 years. The shared bathrooms and showers for the single rooms are great and impeccably clean. The location is great for seeing the old town and riverside restaurants and art stores. They have turntables and records you can take to your room. There is a library of CDs you can use with your tv.”
“This was such a cute place to stay. It was extremely clean and comfortable. I loved the physical keys they give you. Only thing to consider is thin walls, but they do play music in the halls to try to combat the noises from the other rooms. It’s really not bad you may just hear the creaks in the stairs or otherwise, but overall so dang cute! Will return!”
“Super location in center of town, an easy walk to the historic Liberty Theater. First floor coffee shop was excellent, comfortable lobby space.”
“The staff was friendly. I really liked the decorating and over all ambiance of the building.”
“ Excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Warm and inviting atmosphere. We plan to stay at The Commodore anytime we're in Astoria.”
“They had kept the old style of the hotel. I liked the old photo's of the hotel. Location great.”
“Bed was great, even though only a double for wife and I.”
“Vintage coffee shop and cafe attached to property. Very cool retro hotel with modern and retro furnishings.”
“The staff was super helpful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location could not have been better.”
“Fabulous shower and it wasn't even in the room. A classic hotel that closed in the sixties and reopened 40+ years later. A pencil sharpener in the room.”
