“It is exactly what it looks like: a quiet and exciting mountain resort, very close to Sümela Monastery and easy to reach from Trabzon. The first thing I noticed was how gorgeous the air was and how large the hotel. The surroundings are just absolutely gorgeous! NE Turkey will surely take any breath away. :) The family running the place is extraordinary! All of them are friendly, easy to talk to, with a smile on their faces all the time, ready to help you. The hotel is large and fun to go around. The breakfast and dinner are great, one of the best I had during my travels in this part of the world. I will always remember dearly how I snuck out at dawn and sat an hour with two large dogs around me on the bank of the small stream and watch the sun rise. Can't wait to go back!”

“The hotel has a great location in the middle of pine forests near a bustling mountain creek. The whole hotel is made of wood and the whole atmosphere reminded me of Twin Peaks movie: you feel lost in the woods in a neighborhood of good people. The stuff are welcoming, always willing to help and they speak fluent English. And the breakfast is mmmm... perfect!”

“Ein nettes Berghotel voll im Holzdesign. Dadurch außergewöhnlich und mal eine angenehme Abwechslung zu den sonst meist sterilen BusinessHotels. Etwas rustikaler Charme, man fühlte sich ein bisschen in die (deutschen) Reisefilme der 50/60er Jahre versetzt - mir hat das gefallen. Das Personal war sehr jung, aber zuvorkommend, schnell und flexibel. Trotz mittelmäßiger Englischkenntnisse der Angestellten war die Kommunikation kein Problem. Die Lage ist schön, ich hatte ein Eckzimmer mit Berg- und Talblick und Flussrauschen. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze direkt am Haus. Wi-fi war ok. Das Restaurant war hervorragend! Ich hatte Forelle in Butter und einen hausgemachten Pudding, das war super. (Nur ein paar hundert Meter weiter sind Fischzuchtanlagen.)”
“ahşap bir bina da derenin sesi eşliğinde uyumak gayet keyifliydi. sezon dışı olduğu için ısıtma yoktu elektrikli battaniye ile yattım ama sıcak suyu temiz odası harika kahvaltısı ve özellikle sümela ya olan yakın konumuyla tekrar tercihim olur. eğer sümelanın içini gezemiyorum diyorsanız vazelon manastırını öneririm sadece ulaşımı biraz daha zor ve restore edilmemiş”
