“The location was great -- it turned out that whenever we looked up something in Barranquilla ("I want enyucado -- where can we get some") it was nearly always within walking distance. We actually stayed here twice, and the first time the room was amazing -- street view, flowers in the windowbox, very light and airy. The pool was great and had nice cabanas for lounging. I don't think many tourists were staying there, so it was nearly always empty too. Breakfast was good with quite a variety of food, and the waitstaff was very attentive. The doormen/porters were really kind and I liked when they practiced their English with us.”

“Staff at the reception (thank you, Alexa) and service was very friendly and helpful. Check-in process was flawless as well as our room which had two big beds. Everything was clean and nicely arranged. The breakfast buffet was good, we would have preferred unsweetened yogurt but that's just common in Colombia. Location is a bit difficult to judge - there were restaurants and bars (rather fancy) close by but we barely left the area as we were just staying overnight between travel connections. We'd stay again for that.”
